The Absolute ENCODER index for diaphragm gas meters consists of a mechanical index in which 7 individual digit rollers are opto-electronically scanned and read out. The data is then continually transferred as a data word via a digital interface to the connected communication modules, whereby permanent data transfer security is guaranteed compared with the conventional transfer of pulses.
The Absolute ENCODER’s consistent modular design minimizes the efforts and expenditure of installation, commissioning and data provision and ensures investment security for future applications.
The “basic version” of the new Absolute ENCODER AE2 can be retrofitted with cable-based or wireless communication even after installation in the network.
